Our Administrative Team
Christine Achterkirch, Director
Christine has a passion for nurturing faith in young children and using her gifts to make disciples for the next generation. She holds a Masters degree in counseling and has thirty years experience leading and teaching in Christian education both in the local church and in private Christian schools. She has been married to her husband Ian for 29 years and they have five children ages 11, 15, 18, 21 and 23. She loves serving on the Lamb School team alongside such godly women who have a genuine deisre to love and care for children.
Janie Lewis, Assistant Director
Janie is so excited to get to work alongside the caring faculty and staff at Lamb School to teach others about God’s great love and grade. Janie and Eric have been married for thirteen years and have two children, Nicholas and Emily. Janie graduated from the Universtiy of Houston with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. She is a certified bilingual and special education resource teacher, and she has been working in education for 20 years. It is such a privilege for her to see how students learn and grow in their love for God. She enjoys watching how God unfolds in the students’ life and in their families’ homes. Currently, she continues to serve at her church’s preschool ministry program and she enjoys deepening her knowledge and faith with adult bible studies and ministry opportunities.
Charissa loves building up kids of all ages, especially preschool kiddos, to lean on God for their strength.She has been working with children in Sunday School, VBS, and teaching at Lamb School for ten years. She is thankful for the opportunity to share the story of Jesus’s love and grace with the children at Lamb School. Charissa and her husband are Texas A&M graduates and have three wonderful children, Tatum 15, Michael 11, and Mandryk 9. Charissa is excited to serve the Lamb School community by coordinating special events and our amazing team of volunteers.
Kim Cocking, Registrar
Kim relocated to the Houston area in 2018 after living in the Dallas area for many years. Kim previosuly taught two-year olds and was a floater at Discovery Days Preschool in Allen, Texas. Prior to becoming a teacher, Kim volunteered in ministry as youth director, Bible Drill teacher, Vacation Bible School Enlistment Director and Sunday School Teacher while staying home to raise her children. Kim has been married to her husband Jeff for 36 years and has three children and a new grandbaby born in April 2019. Working at Lamb School is an absolute joy and Kim cherishes the new friendships she has made in staff and parents.
